*PREAMBLE*
They respect the records, an occurrence that will see the disappearance of a British minor, MADELEINE BETH MCCAN, daughter
of GERALD PATRICK MCCAN and KATE MARIE HEALY, the date with three (almost four) years of age.
Regarding time and place, the factors occurred on May 3, 2007, in the time gap, according to testimonies, understood
between 9.05 pm and 10.00 pm (it is certain that after 5.30 pm, only GERALD and KATE contacted MADELEINE), in the venture
called "ocean club" located in Vila da Luz, Lagos, local, where the family of the child is located, together with seven
other people, with whom they had a friendly relationship, enjoyed a week-long vacation.
The arrival of the group, from the United Kingdom, to the national territory, via Faro airport, took place on
April 28, 2007.
They traveled in two different groups, since they live in different locations. The trip from the airport to the locality
of Luz, was made in a small bus, provided by the company "Mark Warner", managing entity of the enterprise

At the time of registration ("check in") were placed in several apartments, all of them in the G5 block, bordering each
other, this being an imposition or at the least suggestion, of the entire group.
They were all housed on the ground floor, except for the PAYNE family (David, Fiona and Diane Webster) who were not on
the 1st floor.
The MCCANN family fitted the G5A apartment, located at the top left of the residential block (by frotnal approach) and
in this way, we can say it, the most accessible and with easier visibility from the outside.
It is a group in which seven of the elements are doctors, with various specialties, in addition to the fact that they
all have underage children, of whom they were accompanied. The MCCANN family was made up of the parents, as well as
MADELEINE, and the twins SEAN and AMELIE, both of whom were old at the time of the factors.
this trip was organized by the PAYNE family, namely by the male element of the couple, DAVID ANTHONY PAYNE,

and spatio-temporal relevance, seemed credible were properly explored and included in the records and in this appendix.
There remained a large diffuse patch of supposed sightings and locations - some worthy of notice, such as those in
Beligica and Morocco - that contained scarce, vague, discordant, incomptible or or incongruous elements, which deserved
treatment in view of their infirmation, or reserve for the future, if solid elements were to appear, which are also listed

regarding possible transport / escape routes, by terrestrial means (road-rail), sea and air. Information on images
delivered by individuals who were on vacation in the area of the occurrence was also explored and obtained by this Police,
from several establishments in the hotel industry, whose visualization contributed nothing useful;

*DEVELOPMENT*
The present records had their origin in a participation elaborated by this police, pages 02, giving account of the
disappearance of a minor of British nationality of three years of age. The occurrence was reported by G.N.R. at 00H10 on
the 4th of May 2007.
According to that police force, the disappearance would have occurred at 22h40 (it was later found that the detection and
subsequent alert of the same occurred, in fact, between 22H00 and 22H10) on the 3rd of May 2007, in one of the apparatuses
of the tourist resort "ocean Club", located in Vila da Luz, Lagos, where a family was staying, composed of a couple and
three underage children.
Typically, the apartment consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a C, with easy access to the public road,
either through the front or back, where there is a small balcony and a sliding door.
At the time of the disappearance, the minors were alone in the apartment. however, the couple, during dinner, made two
trips to the same one, having, in one of these trips, the mother (KATE), as the eldest daughter was not there,
alerting the others to that fact.
Aware of this factuality, the Picket went to the site, in order to initiate the relevant investigation steps, at the moment.
The identification of the parents, GENERAL MCCAN and KATE HEALY, as well as the missing minor, MADELEINE BETH MCCAN,
born on the 12th of May 2003, in the United Kingdom, was immediately initiated. In addition to MADELEINE, the couple has
two more children, twin,

- at 9.20 pm, a member of the group, JANE TANNER, on her way to her apartment, noticed an individual carrying a child
on her lap, passing through the street. He described him as being 30 to 40 years old, with dark hair and wearing light
