A Creative Conspiracy
(I don't necessarily believe this but you never know. Anyways I ound it too enjoyable of a read not to share.)
For the Simulation Theory to be true, the simulation would require insane amounts of SPACE to even be able to function.
Think about the trillions of galaxies, each having billions of stars, and how Earth is just one of the countless planets in the universe.
It seems like things like life and consciousness anywhere in the universe would require incredible amounts of data, and enough SPACE to store it and run everything smoothly.
The more data in the Simulation the more SPACE it would need, which may mean using external hard drives to expand the amount of SPACE available.
More SPACE needed to run the simulation, means upgrades in other ways would likely be needed constantly to keep up with things.
And typically computers running advanced huge programs need to be cooled to prevent overheating.
If in the end the simulation overheated eventually, it would malfunction more and more and eventually stop working all together.
Maybe the simulation owners have found that eventually this simulation will overheat, and maybe they will save a minority of people's consciousness and create a new simulation with a new Earth, and maybe even a new planet in the new simulation called new Heaven as well.
If this were the case you'd have a minority of people going to a New simulation, and either going to New Earth or New Heaven.
Those who were left in the this older simulation may have their consciousness reborn after death through reincarnation over and over again. They would be reincarnated and eventually the simulation would start to glitch, malfunction, then become potentially very dangerous and unpredictable, and finally overheat and shut down.
It would be either get saved and go to the New Earth and New Heaven in the new simulation, or be stuck in a place that gets worse and more and more dangerous as the system overheats and gets hotter and hotter
