Enjoy being able to own a computer while you still can
Eventually the only parts of a computer we will own is the keyboard, mouse & Monitor, everything else will be streamed to us.
Think Stadia, a platform that relies on Google's servers instead of a console, so would we soon have a platform(s) that relies on Google's servers without a PC. This already exist, but when it becomes mainstream you can say "goodbye" to buying & owning CPU, GPU, Motherboards, RAM, etc.
I know that to many of you this sound great, but imagine the amount of control we as consumers will lose, in fact at that point we will won't so much as consumers as much as we will be renters.
Pros:
- Save on desk space
- Not having to buy expensive parts
- Stay up to date easier
Cons:
- Your PC performance will rely on a constant supply of internet or u lost all access to your PC
- Your PC performance will rely on monthly/annual package u pay for instead of a 1 time purchase
- Your PC performance will rely someone else's servers & how they may choose to throttle it
Edit: any other Cons I missed?
