I think identity politics are simply a distraction by the wealthy elite to keep us divided and arguing about race and what genitals we have in our pants while they loot and pillage the world economy for their own gain. While we're not looking.

I keep thinking to myself, 'Why do large corporations and financial institutions continue to back divisive things when the goal of a company is basically to appeal to the broadest common denominator? For example, why would Coca-Cola risk something like preaching critical race theory in an employee training, when, by the numbers, such a large population of individuals are still considerably conservative and also consume their product? Taking no stance would be the better business choice, especially for Coke.

Now, you might say, 'Any publicity is good publicity, and these kinds of things, whether they make people angry or they agree with them get the word about their product out there.' But that's why I use Coke as my example. They do not need to advertise. An old military friend of mine used to say how funny it was that even in the most remote, backwards places of the world people there still have Coke and Marlboro cigarettes. Everyone in the world knows what Coke is. They don't NEED the publicity. In some regional dialects their product is synonymous with soda. So why? Why risk pissing off a huge group of your consumers instead of just do the standard, vanilla HR diversity training?

They want us mad at each other. The global financial elite are manipulating us through propaganda to push the political rhetoric out to disparate edges of discourse so that no one possibly can agree with the other's stance, or find any common ground. In fact, those that DO want to bridge the gap and find some way to discuss issues are openly mocked for being the 'Enlightened Centrists'.

Before I write a dissertation, I'm just going to say that I believe this is being done on purpose. And at it's core is simple misdirection. 'Watch my right hand so you can't see what my left one is doing.' Following the 2008 financial crisis, we had the Occupy Wallstreet Movement. People were coming together and realizing who the real enemy was. Bush allowed it to happen. Then Obama administration promised new regulation and change, but never followed through. And now, through the Trump Administration and now Biden, derivatives market regulation isn't even a talking point, and people like Michael Burry (of The Big Short fame) are taking to Twitter to warn of an incoming crisis of an even greater magnitude.

And it's not just the businesses pushing this. The Government is bought and sold. There are 5 financial lobbyists for every member of congress, democrat and republican. This is NOT a partisan issue. But they are doing everything in their power to make you believe that it is. And it's in education, too. Universities that have educators that support these unregulated markets, are the same ones that push 'Woke' identity politics the hardest. UC Berkeley's economics school praises their students for being hired at world banks and the Federal Reserve, "Berkeley Economics Ph.D.s have been hired at many other leading institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Yale, the U.S. Federal Reserve and the World Bank. We are also consistently ranked among the world’s top research departments." (From their 'About us' page). While simultaneously being the same schools that push things like CRT. "Dear UC law school community and friends,

As the Deans of the five University of California law schools, we write with one voice to defend Critical Race Theory and to speak against the attacks upon it by the President of the United States and the Office of Management and Budget. The faculties of the UC law schools include many of the leading scholars in Critical Race Theory (CRT) and our law schools engage in a good deal of important scholarship, teaching and policy work about how race and racial oppression shape law and society." (From a Joint Statement of the Deans from the Berkeley Law school.)

And of course the journalists are either knowingly involved, or just hopping on the bandwagon. These sort of wild ideas get a ton of attention, from the people who support it, AND the people who hate it. Basically it's a win/win. If you're making ad revenue from site visits, all it does is create a perverse incentive to keep reporting outrageous things. Especially stuff that's like, racially fueled. There's no headlines like, 'Cop shoots unarmed man', they're all 'WHITE cop shoots unarmed BLACK man'. It's rage bait. It also forces the conversation away from a beneficial conversation about police reform, into a racial one, wherein everyone proceeds to devolve the issue into nothing more than autistic screeching. This may be just a perverse incentive that's grown from the basic way that websites make money, OR it could be even more sinister. The media is also ran by wealthy individuals.

It's not a conspiracy theory that big banks and financial institutions are corrupt. It's a fact. One that several documentaries and journalists (back when journalists had some integrity) have covered to a great extent. Where I feel like putting on my tin foil hat is that all of this just gets dropped down the memory hole. It's not being talked about, but I think it could pose the greatest risk to everyone, on every side. They want to loot the world economy for every penny they can, and they don't care if they leave us normal working folk out to dry, doing it.

It's always been my belief that money is basically what's behind every vile, evil thing that's ever been done.

I'm not expert, and this is barely a hunch. But I want to start the conversation. I want this to be back in the spotlight. I don't know the answers but I want people to start asking the questions. I really feel like something fishy is going on with this, and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I just want to see it gain some traction. If there is some type of divide and conquer thing like this going on, the only solution would be to unite. And, if Reddit is any type of indicator, with how far this has already gone, it might take a miracle. The amount of tribalism that's seized this platform by the balls is disgusting. That's NOT a conspiracy.

TL;DR - Post title, basically.
