A note for the mods,
Im not sure what drove me to write this but I felt it cannot be ignored. The problem is you are not distinguishing efficiently enough between curiosity and memes. Alot of things are removed unnecessarily.
Your guidelines are set to such a broad standard and you seem to throw alot of valid posts into them. Your guidelines need to be reinstated with a more constructive and narrow approach as it seems some of your mods may be puzzled as to what to do with certain posts.
I know this is true, as the same posts that are removed are then posted to other subs which state they were deleted from here, and I know im not the only one thinking, "whats wrong with that?".
No doubt there are differences of beliefs between moderators themselves, however this is showing in the selective nature to which posts are being approved, and which are not.
This post will be removed soon but it is intended for moderators to read. You cannot be so selective of what is posted here, the behaviour of which seems suspicious - are you letting your own opinions bias your views to certain posts. Either that or you are seperating science and curiosity altogether. Most unwise.
Science and inquisition come in tandem.
It is up for us to discuss the posts in the comments. Other platforms do not have such measures of control, and inappropriate behaviour is reported the usual way. But here posts are being removed by that were written by good people, and I can imagine that does not feel nice or productive for them.
Please rethink your strategy confronting such posts as it can be slightly destructive to the inquisition of the author.
