The Breakaway Civilization theory needs more attention

In the spirit of this thread, I figured I would share something that helped me connect some dots within the context of why this UFO technology is being hidden and compartmentalized by governments around the world. I don't believe all of it, but Joseph Farrell backs up a lot of the ideas in his book "Covert Wars and Breakaway Civilizations" with some pretty compelling facts that made me think there was something to the theory. I just wanted to see what other people took away from it. Grain of salt, as always, but here's the somewhat uncomfortable and unnerving conclusion of that book:

I have presented in this book a rather lengthy thesis, namely, that the phenomena of the UFO were encountered in a hidden culture dominated by two essential defining features: (1) the culture of “full spectrum dominance,” and (2) the culture of “plausible deniability.” From these two wellsprings I have argued that the approach to the UFO phenomenon would have viewed it, first, as primary and principal threat, in much the same way as the Communist bloc was viewed.

I have also presented the view that while the origins of this group may have been related to the time of the airship mystery of the late nineteenth century, by the time of World War Two, with the appearance of foo fighters, and the dramatic postwar UFO activity over or near nuclear weapons sites, that this would have required a dramatically different approach than the secretive and private corporate funding of exotic research. The scale of what had to be achieved was simply too enormous.

The reasons for this enormous scale of funding are, I have argued, rather simple. Within the culture of plausible deniability and full spectrum dominance, the UFO presented a challenge to both those aspects of the breakaway civilization’s culture, simply because it presented capabilities that, if interpreted from the Kardashev measure of civilization types, evidenced abilities of at least a Class One civilization, i.e., a civilization requiring the energy of an entire planet, and thus implying the ability to manipulate systems of a planetary scale.

Such a scale, I have argued, implied that the economic response to the phenomenon be commensurate with the need to develop emulative technologies, and that as the technological capacity of emulation grows, so too does the scale of finance and secrecy.

In short, the UFO phenomenon, viewed from this wide cultural perspective, required that the energy of planet Earth be drafted to the task of emulation, for it was only by emulation that it could be in turn confronted and, with proper technological displays such as the ability to manipulate earthquakes and to send longitudinal pulses in the medium, could it be potentially contained and rolled back.

The technological capability of the UFO presented a direct challenge to the aura of “full spectrum dominance” being evolved by the elite during the postwar period, and hence, the UFO presence could not be openly acknowledged—at least, that is, until some technological parity had been achieved. Much less could this breakaway culture come forward and say that it needed to draft the bulk of the Western world’s creativity and financial activity to confront it. Hence financing the development of those responses—both technological and otherwise—had to be dovetailed and made one with the similar goal of the containment and rollback of the Soviet Union; in fact, the UFO phenomenon and the responses to it, had to be veiled and concealed within the same structures put into place to deal with the more earthly threat.

In short, a vast hidden system of finance had to be made available to this elite, and that required by the nature of the case that a deal had to be struck with the surviving Axis elites, elites that had access to a great deal of plunder. It required planetary scale financing to confront both potential threats.

Just what may have been achieved during all this time, from the first murky beginnings of possibilities with the airship mystery, through today, with the vast scale of financing implied by the review undertaken here, we do not know. But it is perhaps worth recollecting at this juncture that United Kingdom subject Gary McKinnon alleges he tapped into secret databases of the United States military and space bureaucracies, and discovered there evidence of a vast, and very secret, space fleet and program, which in the context of Ben Rich’s remarks, raise the stakes considerably.

Our focus in this book has therefore been on the necessary cultural background to understand whatever technologies might have been developed. It remains to describe much of that technology in another book, and its possible use in covert operations of a terrestrial and celestial nature. We are thus not done with the subject of covert wars and breakaway civilizations.

For our purposes here, however, we may end on this final note. In the previous chapter I observed that to scientific cognoscenti such as Hal Puthoff, ancient texts and cosmological systems would have made one thing abundantly clear: contact may have been going on for a very long time, and the results, in ancient times, were none too pleasant for humanity. Such realizations, occurring as they did when humanity was emerging from its most bloody and destructive war with the explosions of two atomic bombs, would have impelled this culture and civilization to the task of defending itself against the ancient possibilities.
