Pro Tip: Arguing with people on Reddit, especially the vaxxed is a zero-sum game and here’s why..
I’ve been on Reddit for many many years now and have come to realize the following (especially with regards to Covid and Vaccination) - the vast majority of Reddit subreddits work in a hive-mind/mob mentality in that there’s always a main narrative and if you go against that narrative you’re always going to get shit on, no matter how factual your point or argument is. Last year, during the BLM riots, all cops were murderers despite common sense dictating that police who murdered civilians represented a very very very small minority of people who work in the forces. If you argued the point you were a boot licker, racist, white supremacist etc. You could show statistics etc, it was irrelevant - A lot of the comments you see posted on any given subreddit could very well be bots and not real people posting - Whatever you see on Reddit is not representative of real life. Most friends or family don’t care whether you are vaccinated or not. Whatever the trendy hive-mind opinion of the day is not representative of real life. Most people have careers, kids, families etc and do not spend time on the internet arguing with strangers - Most people you argue with are going to be in the 14-21 age range. No offence to those in that demographic - I used to to think I knew it all at 21 but being in my thirties now I realize that my general understanding of the world was not complete and didn’t take into consideration the nuances and complexities of society - With regards to Covid, there are a lot of tough keyboard warriors who wish death/harm/suffering on people on the other side of the fence. They are immature and lousy human beings
