Joe Rogan absolutely schooled CNN’s medical ‘specialist’, Sanjay Gupta. Gupta embarrassed himself with that joke of an interview and I have no idea what he hoped to achieve.
I actually struggled to get through the podcast. Rogan did not let Gupta weasel his way out of any questions. I have a newfound respect for Rogan as an interviewer. For anyone that hasn’t watched it, watch/listen to the first hour at least. You will be pleasantly surprised at Rogan’s tenacity. Clearly Gupta thought Rogan was an uneducated meathead and he would waltz to even more self-indulgent ‘fame’ and gain some NPC fans along the way. What a joke.
Gupta’s ‘arguments’ if you can call them that, did not follow any logical pattern and it was clear he was repeating soundbites he had heard from the establishment.
His assertion that “children should be vaccinated to prevent the spread” was ridiculous and he refused to concede his vague points even when presented with direct evidence.
At the end of the day, he is a neurosurgeon and not a specialist in any sort of immunology or even involved in communicable diseases. The technical knowledge of a surgeon is lacking compared to their medical counterparts, which begs the question as to why he is even the chief medical officer for CNN in the first place?!
The hastily-written forced statement put out within a few hours was pathetic. Gupta’s argument boiled down to some variation of ‘I was worried Joe Rogan was going to leap over and attack me’. Rogan is, by now, a respected media personality that practices MMA in his spare time, what an irrelevant point. None of Rogan’s arguments were debunked in the article because they can’t be.
